Email Bounce Backs

A much higher percentage of undeliverable e-mail is to be expected than for mail, phone or fax.

Email addresses are prone to frequent change. They may also be temporarily unreachable for a number of technical and other reasons such as:

• account disabled
• mailbox full
• limit on message size
• anti-spam policy
• firewall

Under the Terms of Business List4email is not responsible for e-mail addresses that prove to be undeliverable, except when the number of undeliverable email addresses exceeds the Undeliverables Threshold – currently set at 19% of emails sent.

If you experience a higher percentage than this, and subject to you providing proof of non-delivery within 30 days of the Licence Date, we will endeavour to provide additional e-mail addresses so as to ensure that the percentage of undeliverable e-mails is brought within the Undeliverables Threshold.

This policy is dependent on you sending your emails using an approved email broadcasting method, as using inappropriate broadcasting methods may cause a higher bounce back rate from anti-spam filters.
